Last week’s House activities gave us our first glimpse of what campus life will look like without the Class of 2026.
And if the energy in the rooms was any indication… we’re going to be just fine ⚡
Even at the very end of the school year, the excitement, competitiveness, and community spirit were through the roof. A great reminder that while one class moves on, the traditions and energy that make Verot special continue on with the next group ready to step up.
2026–2027 is already looking bright!!

For years, Mrs. Elmeer has been one of the defining voices of the Verot Arts program - encouraging students to embrace creativity, confidence, and authenticity in everything they do.
But her own artistic journey continues as well. From working on a children’s book to designing Bishop Verot’s new Viking logo, she continues to inspire both inside and outside the classroom through her passion for art and storytelling.
🎥 Hear her reflect on the creative process, the meaning behind the new logo, and why art continues to matter so deeply in her life.

A few weeks ago, our AP Research students officially submitted their academic papers to College Board after months of research, writing, revision, and presentation. 📚
Covering a wide range of topics, these projects challenged students to think critically, defend their findings, and communicate their ideas at a high academic level.
A lot of hard work went into these papers, and the preparation and presentations throughout the process were seriously impressive. Congratulations to all on a job very well done!

We are incredibly proud to share a glimpse of the outstanding college admission and enrollment outcomes for the Bishop Verot Class of 2026! 💛🖤
Our students have shown exceptional dedication, resulting in massive success at Florida’s top universities and competitive institutions across the country. We are especially proud of the incredible outcomes at the University of Florida, where the average statistics for admitted students are rigorous: GPA: 4.5-4, ACT: 31-34 or SAT: 1380-1510.
Congratulations to our students for their exceptional hard work, and a huge thank you to our passionate faculty and staff for preparing them so well. We can’t wait to see how you will use your education to lead lives of faithful service.

A few weeks ago, our Biology students had the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom and onto the beach. 🌊🐢
Through a Guy Harvey Conservation School Field Trip Grant, Mrs. Geary and Mrs. Schlotterbeck partnered with the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation to give students a firsthand look at local sea turtle conservation efforts and the work being done to protect active nests along our coast.
Students assisted with SCCF’s pilot research project by helping create decoy sea turtle nests designed to reduce coyote interference through non-lethal methods. They also participated in a beach cleanup supporting both the sea turtle monitoring program and other nesting wildlife along the shoreline.
Back on campus, students continued the effort by painting the wooden stakes used to mark the decoy nests—an important part of helping researchers monitor and protect these areas accurately.
A great example of hands-on learning making a real impact right here in our community.

Last Friday, the Class of 2026 gathered at St. Columbkille Catholic Church for Baccalaureate Mass - one of the most special moments of graduation weekend ✝️
With family, friends, faculty, and classmates all together, the night gave our seniors a chance to slow down for a moment and reflect before graduation day arrived. Presided over by our Bishop, it was a beautiful celebration of faith, gratitude, and everything this class has experienced together over the last four years.
These are just a few moments from the evening - be on the lookout for the full gallery on our website later this week!
