This Nurses Month, we're sharing the stories of the educators behind our nursing programs. 🌟 Meet Jayleena Annoh, Nursing Instructor at Concorde Memphis!
Q: What does being a nurse mean to you personally?
A: "Being a nurse, to me, means stepping into a role that is grounded in purpose and accountability. Being an active part of the solution in a system where patients depend on skilled, compassionate care. It is more than performing tasks; it is the integration of clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and human connection to meet patients where they are, especially in moments of vulnerability. To be entrusted with someone's care during one of the most difficult times in their life is not something I take lightly, it is a privilege and a responsibility that I carry with pride. As an educator, I recognize that shaping future nurses extends that impact beyond the bedside. It reinforces the responsibility to model best practices, uphold standards, and contribute to a profession that demands lifelong learning and continuous growth.”
Jayleena, the passion you bring to nursing and education is truly something special. Happy Nurses Month! 💙

Nurses Month is here and we're proud to spotlight the faculty behind our nursing programs! 🌟 Meet Michell Houston, Assistant Director of Nursing at Concorde Dallas!
Q: What part of your nursing journey are you most proud of?
A: "One of the parts of my nursing journey that I am most proud of is being able to step into roles where there was a critical medical need, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic—That experience was especially meaningful because it reflected the true essence of nursing—being adaptable, stepping forward in times of need, and using my skills to support both individual and community health on a broader scale."
Thank you for stepping up when it mattered most and bringing that same dedication to your students every day, Michell! 💙
