In September 11, 2001, New York Harbor became an unexpected lifeline. As Lower Manhattan filled with smoke and normal transportation collapsed, civilian captains, ferry crews, tugboat operators, and mariners moved toward the danger instead of away from it. Boat after boat began carrying stranded people across the water, creating a massive improvised evacuation built on instinct, courage, and cooperation. It became one of the most remarkable civilian rescue efforts in modern American history.

RE: Accident on Sunday 9 August, 2026
Last Sunday, 9 August, I was filling up my 36-gallon water tank in my service truck for a survey assignment on Cape Cod.
There would be no access to water in the building and no access to electricity where the boat was stored and having that
tank filled with water, I could connect my marine engine diagnostic software into the ECM on the engine and run the
engine to operating temperature. Loaded my 3500-watt generator to test the marine AC/DC electrical systems connecting
my shore power cables.
I just started filling the water tank and I had to move my Chevrolet-3500 truck over to the right closer to the wall at the
head of our town wharf ramp to let the two lobstermen launch their tenders. With the driver side door open, I grabbed my
coffee mug and proceeded to get out of the truck; my foot was on the brake and when I started to exit, the truck was still in
gear and I fell onto the concrete ramp injured. I lost all my computer software; laptops; testing equipment; gauges,
instruments and Coast Guard safety gear. My injuries were serious enough that I will have surgery and I will be out the
remainder of this 2026 year.

To whom it may concern,
My name is Joshua Ward and I own JW Marine Surveyors in the State of New Jersey. I have been contacted by my Client Robert Beville who is in the process of purchasing a 55' Islander in Atlantic City NJ scheduled to take place on 08/25/2026. He was informed by Skisafe that they will not accept my Report due to the fact that I am "Not a NAMS/SAMS" affiliated surveyor. This is as you are aware unethical and illegal. Ski Safe is defaming not only myself and my business in front of clients and as a 25 year professional within the Marine Surveying Industry, but also my Credentialing bodies USSA/NAVTECH, and ACMS. I am attaching several items to this email for your review and need an immediate response before I escalate this issue to my attorneys.
