Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to Orange River Elementary! We are thrilled to embark on an exciting new adventure as we celebrate our 70th year of learning, discovery, and growth. This marks my 9th year leading the expedition as your proud Principal, and Dr. Misewicz’s 14th year as our dedicated Assistant Principal. We can’t wait to welcome our young explorers back to campus, ready to trek into a great school year with energy and enthusiasm!

At Orange River, our mission is Success for All! We strive to make every child feel welcomed, connected, and supported as they explore new horizons academically. To help our students navigate their learning journey, we will continue focusing on Attendance, Behavior, and Classroom Success—remember, daily, on-time attendance is key to keeping our trek on track!

Important Trail Notes:
- Address Updates: If your family moved over the summer, please bring proof of your new address (e.g., electric, water, or cable bill) to the front office.
- Chromebook Returns: If your child checked out a Chromebook for ELL summer school, please return the device along with its charger.
- Morning Drop-Off & Safety: For safety reasons, parents may not walk children directly to class. Students may not be dropped off before 8:15 AM, as supervision is unavailable prior to that time.

Autism Awareness Day is observed every year on April 2nd to support neurodiversity by raising global awareness and understanding of Autism. Tomorrow, April 1st, we're encouraging students and staff to wear their favorite Autism Awareness shirt, or something blue to show support!
