As many students return to school, I hope everyone parent and caregiver takes the time to remind their kids to be the voice of change for peace! Remind them to have their best year by focusing on how they make others feel rather than on how others make them feel!

What an AMAZING day at Miami Dade College School of Education! Under the leadership of Dr. Susan Niemand and with the support of the Discipline Conveners, they dedicated a day to "thoughtful playfulness". They are truly raising the bar in our profession by proactively changing their programs to meet today's demands in our K-12 schools. All too often, educators and master practitioners operate in a reactive state.

A special thanks to their students, Miami-Dade County Public Schools partners, and MDC administrators that joined this intentional and important work!
