De LaSalle Academy of Ft Myers De LaSalle Academy's staff is highly experienced. We accept new applications throughout the school year with on-campus and virtual options due to Covid-19.

Our mission is to educate children with learning differences, providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, where each student's diverse ability is honored and valued. Every educator and therapist at De LaSalle is committed to maintaining high academic standards while adjusting curriculum and teaching approaches to the specific needs of our students with learning differences. Students are grouped by ability for reading and math instruction, often with as few as four to eight in a group. Science and Social Studies classes are taught in each homeroom group, utilizing state-of-the-art differentiated instruction techniques. Hands-on activities and the use of manipulative materials and graphic organizers are standard instructional approaches in all subjects. We emphasize process over product. We don’t just teach students information…We teach them how to learn.

📸 Reminder: Picture Day is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow’s photo will be used for the yearbook, so all students must come to school in their blue or navy De LaSalle polo, including seniors.

If your student has PE or Art, they do not need to wear or change into their PE or Art shirt tomorrow.

Please also avoid using dress-down passes tomorrow. Having all students arrive in the proper uniform will help picture day run smoothly and keep us on schedule.

Yesterday, our Dragons honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001, through a meaningful activity in PE. 🇺🇸

Students completed 25 laps in recognition of the 25 years since 9/11. We loved taking time to remember, reflect, and honor those whose lives were forever impacted.

We are proud of our Dragons for participating in such a meaningful tribute. ❤️🤍💙

Our Dragons had their first House Day of the year! 🐉❤️💙💛🩶

From collaboration and team-building to lots of smiles, laughter, and Homecoming prep, it was such a fun day bringing our Houses together! We loved seeing our Dragons connect, work as a team, and show their House spirit.
