The adventure begins June 1st…

Welcome to Bannworth Academy and the Lost Library Expedition — a worldwide summer reading adventure for explorers, mystery solvers, historians, archaeologists, scientists, and book dragons of ALL ages!

Students, adults, homeschoolers, private school students, public school students, families, friends across the globe… YOU are invited to join the expedition.

This is NOT an ordinary summer reading program.

This is a quest.

Track down 13 books in your chosen Expedition Division:

• Preschool–K5
• 1st–4th Grade
• 5th–8th Grade
• 9th–12th Grade
• Adult Expedition Team

Your division does NOT have to match your age — only your reading challenge level! Move up. Move down. Stay right on sight.

Search thrift stores, libraries, used bookstores, yard sales, hidden shelves, and dusty corners of forgotten bookshops as you assemble your expedition collection.

Inside Google Classroom, secret puzzles, clues, codes, maps, and challenges await those brave enough to continue the mission.

Participants will receive:

• Expedition Bookmarks
• Downloadable Reading Trackers
• Google Classroom Access
• Secret Challenges
• Certificates of Completion
• Recognition on the Bannworth Academy website and page

Parents — we strongly encourage you to join the Adult Expedition Team and lead by example alongside your young explorers!

To complete one book each week:

Take the total number of pages and divide by 7.
That is your MINIMUM daily reading goal for the expedition.
The mission is totally FREE.
The expedition begins June 1 and concludes September 1.

Today was an extraordinary day on the river for the young expedition team of Bannworth Academy of Classical Education during our Bannworth Academy Paleontology Dig!

Students uncovered hundreds of fossils from the ancient world hidden beneath the sands and gravel of the Peace River. Among the most exciting discoveries were numerous extinct sirenian ribs, reminders of the strange sea mammals that once swam through prehistoric Florida long ago. Every sift of the screen revealed another piece of lost history waiting to be rediscovered.

But the adventure did not end with fossils. After hours of excavation, the expedition team took to the famous rope swing and launched themselves into the Peace River like true explorers of old. Mud, water, fossils, laughter, and discovery made for a perfect field day in the wilds of Florida.

And for everyone asking… no alligators or snakes today!

At Bannworth Academy, education is not confined to desks and worksheets. Our students climb into history, dig into science, and live the adventure firsthand.

Bannworth Academy of Classical Education has officially entered the Best of Florida competition once again!
