The Ladybug Project, Inc (a 501(c)(3) non profit organization) works with education and healthcare in Africa. Specifically Equitorial Guinea, Madagascar, and Ghana.
They are having the inaugural Arts for Africa Benefit in Bonita Springs, FL on April 14th, 2012. We looking for art submissions/ donations for the benefit. If you or anyone you know is interested in donating an art piece visit:

Project DIY has been invited to help with a Shantytown event on the night of Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Who would be interested in helping us? Currently the idea is to help with a service learning project for no sew fleece blankets.

Due to today's forecast of 50% chance rain, we are going to have to postpone Painting on the Library Lawn - 10.31 to next week on Monday, November 6. We sincerely apologies, and hope to see you all next week with some sunshine!

For Serve-A-Thon on Saturday, we are volunteering at the Alliance for the Arts' event "Fall into the Arts." Set-up and break-down is where help is more needed at 8-10AM and 2-430PM. If you would like to join our team, please comment or e-mail [email protected]
FGCU Service-Learning is launching Make-A-Difference week TODAY! Come join the festivities on the 4th floor of the library (moved from the lawn due to the weather) between 10-2 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Look for the Project DIY booth, find out more info on FGCU Inaugural Serve-A-Thon and decorate a butterfly for women's rights in Nicaragua.
Project DIY will be tabling at the Office of Service Learning's Make-A-Difference week. We will be promoting FGCU Inaugural Serve-A-Thon and having butterflies for people to decorate and send in support of Nicaraguan women's rights. Currently we need a helper for any hours 10-12 on Tuesday and 11-1230. Please comment if you can help!
We have a few spots left for the pumpkin carving (sort of competition) tomorrow at 4p. The pumpkins will be featured in EagleNews. All you have to do is bring your own utensils and creativity! Please comment if you are interested.
