FSW hosted the AI in Education Symposium on our Lee campus, bringing together more than 200 educational leaders from across Southwest Florida.

This important convening reminded us that preparing students for a world shaped by artificial intelligence is a shared responsibility. We partnered with FGCU and regional school districts, including Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades, to explore how education can lead with innovation and purpose. The day also featured informative breakout sessions and meaningful discussions, including a conversation on workforce readiness and responsible AI with Anna Haney-Withrow, Director of FSW’s Institute of Innovative and Emerging Technologies.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this day of collaboration and conversation. We believe the future of AI in education will be strongest when we build it together.

Twenty-five years later, September 11 remains a day we will never forget.

For many of our students today, 9/11 is a moment they know only through history books, stories from their families and the memories of those who lived through it. That makes our responsibility to remember even more important.

We must continue to tell the stories, honor those we lost and recognize the courage of the first responders, our military and our veterans, and countless Americans who answered the call in the days and years that followed.

If you remember September 11, 2001, I encourage you to pause today. Thank a veteran. Thank a first responder. Talk with your family, your friends, or your children about that day and about the people and values that remind you of what we are grateful for.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. And we teach the next generation why we must never forget.
