It’s glazing day for my February Adult class! There are three glaze choices and three steps to achieve these results! This technique is called the frozen pond technique and the results are so stunning! Stay tuned for before and after pictures!
Organized the glazes! The job of organizing is never done but thanks to some lovely helpers, this project came together!
Special shout out to for making and glazing so many of these, Audrey for glazing a ton, Michelle for glueing magnets, Ryder for glueing magnets and getting the all on the shelf today, and my friend Amy who selflessly went to IKEA with me for more shelving. 🙃

I have a special one-day class this month for Black History Month all about Dave the Potter. We will read a children’s book about him, play a little on the pottery wheel, build with coils of clay, and even write a little poetry onto our pots just like Dave did. For ages 4-10.
Another round of homeschool high school wheel throwing is going to start in April. Only three spots available! Sign up on the kids’ classes page of HandsOnClay.net.

The Renaissance Faire will continue next weekend! It’s almost over today but there’s still some goodies left for next weekend! It opens Saturday morning at 10 am!
The last month has been tough on my kilns (and my nerves lol) as one of them over-fired (got too hot) and another one needed all new elements and and a new thermocouple (the thing that tells the temperature inside).
We are slowly recovering from the delays and working diligently on having everything ready for the Renaissance Faire this weekend!!
