An honor to preside over the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (https://www.phikappaphi.org/) Fall 2022 Induction Ceremony at Florida Gulf Coast University ten days ago. After some delay thanks to the pandemic, the FGCU PKP Chapter was formally installed in November 2021. We held our first induction ceremony in April 2022 and the second one, as mentioned, in December 2022. The FGCU PKP Chapter currently has 106 members and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has recently recognized our chapter as a Circle of Excellence Platinum Chapter, the highest commendation a chapter can receive from the organization. The award is given to chapters that exceed expectations in chapter operations and who demonstrate sustainability and vitality as a chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. At our Fall 2022 Induction Ceremony, in addition to inducting a number of academically accomplished juniors, seniors, and graduate students, we also inducted the following distinguished faculty and staff:

• Ms. Allison Bacigalupi, Director of Exploratory Advising
• Dr. Jamie MacDonald, Jr., Interim Associate Dean of the Honors College & Professor of Geology
• Dr. Sandra Pavelka, Founding Director of the Institute for Youth and Justice Studies & Professor of Political Science and Public Administration

With Dr. Senthil Balaji Girimurugan at the 2022 Biennial Convention of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi held last week at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Florida. A Professor of Mathematics and Honors Faculty Fellow, Dr. Girimurugan is currently serving as the President-Elect of the Phi Kappa Phi Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University.

to our Spring 2022 Induction Ceremony! We inducted a total of 33 high-achieving individuals from our wonderful university. 29 accomplished undergraduate/graduate students and 4 distinguished faculty, staff and administrators.
