Coyote Families,
As we inch closer to the 26-27 school year, and staff slowly trickles back to the campus, excitement is building. We are excited to see our returning coyotes and welcome a new crop of students to Camp Mohave. May your last few weeks of summer break be amazing. In the meantime, we would like to share a few details for your upcoming school year.

Important Back-to-School Details:
Meet the Teacher/Open House: July 30, 2026 from 4PM-6PM
First Day of School: August 3, 2026
School Hours: 7:40-2:40 M-Th and 7:40-1:00 F (Gate Opens @ 7:15)

For families wondering about school supply lists, our school provides all basic supplies and there are no mandatory lists. Your child’s teacher may have a wish list of supplies that will help in the classroom, and basic supplies such as pencils, paper, notebooks, and folders are always helpful to have.

We can't wait to see all of our families on the 30th and get the school year rolling on the 3rd of August.

At Camp Mohave Elementary School, our goal is to provide a safe, joyful, and challenging learning environment for every child. We believe that education is a strong t.....

Camp Mohave hopes that all of our Coyote Families have been and will continue getting some much needed rest and relaxation over our summer break. As summer moves along, Camp Mohave has staff busy planning and putting things in place for the 2026-2027 school year. One item is a slight shift in schedule for the 26-27 school year.
Our gates will still open at 7:15 each morning, but the tardy bell will now be at 7:40 instead of 7:45. Additionally, on regular release days, the gate will now open at 2:40 instead of 2:30. This added 15 minutes M-Th and 5 minutes on F will allow for transitions. By having this time, we are able to increase the time spent on instruction for our students. While 5 to 15 minutes seems small, over the course of the year, that will add more than 2,000 minutes of instruction.

Camp Mohave wants to invite our families and community to our Open House and Science Fair tomorrow (Thursday 5-14) from 5-6:30. If you have questions about our school, the Discovery Den will be open for you to ask any questions you may have. Science projects will be on display in the gym, and our courtyard will have free hot dog meals for the first 500 visitors and yard games for families to play. We hope to see all our kids, families, and anyone else who is curious about our school.

As we wind down our Spirit and Teacher appreciation week, I want to take a moment to thank all the Coyote Staff. Whether they have the title or not, each staff member is teaching our kids and helping them to grow.
