A huge shoutout and thank you to all of the people who helped me with the Cincinnati Open over the last two weeks!! It was filled with lots of sunshine, rain, mud, laughs, and meeting a lot of neat people! We were busy helping park cars, driving shuttles, and directing traffic, among other things. Overall, it was a great experience and I hope we get the opportunity to do it again next year. It was a dozen local nonprofits working together at the tennis tournament to raise funds for their organizations. So at the end of the day, people working hard for the people/causes that matter most to them. I got to meet so many great people as a result of working the parking, students working, non profit leaders, an array of spectators (some who gave me their tickets!) and lots of cool volunteers. It was hard to take action shots throughout the duration because we were busy, but I did get a few shots here and there. Thank you to everyone who helped raise money for TEN FE. 🩵🇬🇹🩵

Today was the first shift of tennis parking! It didn't look at all like the first picture but the second picture pretty much describes it! A huge storm blew in around 10am, so we sat in our cars for an hour waiting for it to pass. It was quite peaceful as you can tell from the picture. ☮️ The storm finally did pass and it didn't take too long for it to get hot again. I did have fun driving around the golf cart shuttle today! Looking forward to going back with friends on Thursday! 🩵🇬🇹🩵

TEN FE has the opportunity to help work at the Cincinnati Open next month in Mason (Ohio) to raise funds. We are so lucky to be invited to do this! We will be helping park cars during the event. The dates begin Saturday, August 8th and run through Sunday, August 23rd. Shifts are typically 4 hours long and range from 8am to midnight. You can pick your dates and times.
If anyone is interested in helping TEN FE earn money, you can scan the QR code to register. If you don't like QR codes, you can use this link ( https://mishparking.com/welcome/index/mg/24 ) to take you to the registration website.
Once you create an account, 5 short videos totally 31 minutes) will pop up that are required to watch in order to be able to register for a shift. I just watched them and they are light-hearted and humorous but cover the safety issues of parking. All of the information about what we will be doing at the Cincinnati Open is in the videos.

Next Sunday, July 19th the registration for all shifts will officially open. If you have watched the videos, you will be able to pick the day and shift that you are able to work. Ask a friend or neighbor to go with you or join me! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks will be provided during any or all of the shifts that you work. 🙂

The middle school students and teachers took food and drinks yesterday to people waiting at the public hospital in Guatemala City. The hospitals are overcrowded, understaffed and lack resources. People wait days and weeks to be seen by medical staff. What a great way for TEN FE students to help their community. 🙏

Such a cool event today! The National Civil Police (PNC) chose the TEN FE Christian School to select a student 'police chief' in Santiago Sacatepéquez; soon the winner will go on to compete in other municipalities to become the departmental chief. So much fun! 🇬🇹
