🚨 URGENT: We need ONE more coach real soon or we cannot offer Girls on the Run this fall! 🏃‍♀️💔

Our girls are ready to run, build confidence, and have an amazing season starting September 14th, but we are officially ONE volunteer away from being allowed to launch the club at our school.

The #1 thing holding people back: You DO NOT have to be a runner or have any previous coaching experience! 🚫👟

Everything is fully planned out for you with a step-by-step curriculum. You just need a heart for encouraging young girls and cheering them on! (Aunts, grandmas, big sisters, and community neighbors are welcome, too!)

Thank you to all of our wonderful teachers and staff for giving our Dragon families such a warm welcome during Meet the Teacher. We can't wait to see everyone back tomorrow as we kick off another fantastic school year!

🚔 Please join us in giving a warm Dragon welcome to our new School Resource Officer, Officer Mark Schurig!

We are excited to have Officer Schurig as part of the Doby’s Bridge family and are grateful for his commitment to keeping our students, staff, and community safe.

Officer Schurig brings 30 years of law enforcement experience, having served with the Rock Hill Police Department in Patrol, Investigations, Technical Services, and as a School Resource Officer at Sullivan Middle School. After retiring this past May, he joined the Fort Mill Police Department and is now proudly serving as our SRO here at Doby’s Bridge Elementary.

When he’s not at school, Officer Schurig is a devoted husband, proud father of five, and grandfather of two—with another grandchild on the way this October!

We’re so happy you’re here, Officer Schurig. Welcome to the Dragon family! 💛

Today's the day! We can't wait to welcome all of our new and returning Dragons to Meet the Teacher! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to meet their teacher(s), visit their classroom(s), and get excited for an amazing school year ahead.

📚 Meet the Teacher (Grades K–5)
🕛 12:00–12:45 PM – Last Names A–H
🕐 1:00–1:45 PM – Last Names I–P
🕑 2:00–2:45 PM – Last Names Q–Z
📌 Please attend your assigned time based on your last name.
Students who have multiple teachers will have the opportunity to meet each of them during their scheduled time.
