A HUGE thank you to our friend, Noah, for collecting donations for Classroom Ready as part of his Capstone Project at Legion Collegiate Academy. These supplies will help us continue to serve the students of the FMSD.

Please donate to Classroom Ready this coming MLK Call to Service Day. The students of the FMSD would be so thankful.

Classroom Ready never stops preparing to assist our FMSD students. If you are so inclined during your holiday shopping to pick up a few extra items, we are in need of 1.5 inch binders and college ruled composition notebooks. Items can be dropped off in the big blue bin outside of our supply room at 120 E. Elliott Street, behind the Magistrate Court. As always, we appreciate the support from our amazing community.

Approximately 1 in 10 children in our community are food insecure. In a school system of nearly 20,000 students, we know that many of them do not have basic food and nutritional requirements. This impacts a learner’s ability to perform in school when their basic needs are unmet.

The Foundation has installed a Snack Shack in all FMSD Schools.

In these difficult times, please consider donating to our Snack Shack program.

As the school year is now in full swing Classroom Ready is reflecting on a whirlwind summer of donation drives and community involvement. We want to say THANK YOU!!

In no particular order and equally important…we are so thankful to Life Pointe Church for a huge mid-summer supply drive. This was their first time supporting CR and they showed up in a BIG way! Not to be outdone the gentleman of F3 again hosted a very successful Stuff the Bus event at the Tega Cay Walmart. We are very very grateful for their continued support.

Community member Melissa Wood dropped off a SUV full of supplies to help keep our shelves stocked. Melissa has taken it upon herself to collect school supplies over the last few years to help with the growing need here in Fort Mill. The football team at FMHS, in coordination with The Giving Porch, collected supplies this summer. Employees at Fort Mill’s City Hall. The Elks, patrons of the FM Library, Ashley Ziemke at Keller Williams Luxury and The Schaeffler Group also donated much needed supplies.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Unity Presbyterian Church continue to support Classroom Ready on an almost monthly basis and we treasure their support and congregations.

We are excited to work with Duke Energy and LPL on future donation drives.

Lastly, we will put to good use (and are so thankful for) grants from The Duke Energy Foundation and The Shutterfly Foundation.

While we can name many of our donors we can’t name the countless community members who regularly drop off new school supplies in our big blue donation bin at 120 E. Elliott St. Thank you for helping make every student in the FMSD Classroom Ready!
