Congratulations to our 5th Graders on their promotion to middle school! Our students enjoyed one last elementary read aloud from Mr. Allen of the book "Maybe". We hope that our students leave Pleasant Knoll Elementary understanding their true potential, knowing its ok to fail, and embracing all of the qualities that make them unique. 💙🖤

We enjoyed having our graduating Seniors back at PKES for our Senior Walk! They gave our 5th graders advice for middle and high school and got to have some parachute fun! We are so proud of you! Congratulations!

Ms Eubanks’ class had fitness day today! They worked hard in exercise stations and had great team work!

This week we celebrated Heather Schreiber at the FMSD Support Staff of the Year Recognition Brunch. Congratulations again on a well deserved honor!

Our 3rd grade students had such a fun day celebrating the end of state testing! Students enjoyed a picnic lunch on the playground, freeze pops provided by teachers, and making special memories with friends. To top off the celebration, students participated in an exciting tug-of-war contest where they got to see their Force and Motion science unit come to life by exploring balanced and unbalanced forces, as well as pushes and pulls, in action!

Today our 3rd - 5th Grade students participated in the Sack the Test assembly presented by the Carolina Panthers! During the assembly, Sir Purr taught his proven test taking tips, which included video messages from Panthers players and TopCats. Students learned the connection between how Panthers players, coaches, and cheerleaders get ready for the big game and how they can apply the same methods to prepare for their big test using the SNAP acronym.

We are so proud of our Limelight Theater Club students for their performance of Peter Pan! They showed amazing Work Ethic while practicing their skills and lines every week for the entire school year!
