๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ We have officially crossed the finish line of August and our Panthers have done an incredible job trading in their pool days for school days! Transitioning into a new school year takes a lot of energy and focus. We are so proud of the hard work that our panthers are pouring in!

๐Ÿ”ดPlease join us in celebrating these Red Nose Award recipients that were honored in August: Heather Wolf, Rachel Driver, Jessica Williams, and Michelle Powell.

These outstanding staff members were recognized for the way they lead with heart, build strong connections, and continually strive to grow in their roles.

The Red Nose Award, inspired by Superintendent Grey Youngโ€™s late father, Stormy Young, honors those who reflect the spirit of service, humor, and genuine care that has long been part of Fort Mill Schools.

๐Ÿ’™We are grateful for the difference each of these winners makes in our district every day!

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™Our second graders kicked off an exciting service-learning project on Friday to support the York County Humane Society! Students learned all about how animal shelters work and the caring people who look after the pets. To tie in our grammar skills, everyone picked a real shelter animal available for adoption and brainstormed fun adjectives and verbs to describe them. Then, they used their word lists to create awesome adoption posters to help their animals find forever homes. It was a great way to practice our writing while helping out our furry friends in the community. We are so proud of their big hearts and hard work!

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™ Everyday counts! Did you know that showing up to school every single day is the number one way to stay on track, master new skills, and hang out with your school community? Whether itโ€™s learning a new subject, laughing at lunch, or playing on the play ground- we miss you when you arenโ€™t here!

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ Mrs. Starkey's 5th graders designed projects, shared them with Mrs. Perkins' class and taught them what it means to "Put Their Best Paw Forward" every day. We had a variety of projects from handwritten books, board games, matching games, puppet shows that they recorded, etc. The 5th graders loved getting to be the teacher for a few minutes.
