Want to have a direct say in decisions that affect your school? We want to hear from you! Join Superintendent Ralston’s 2026–2027 Student Cabinet to share your ideas, uplift student voices, and develop key leadership skills.

Meetings take place monthly during lunch from September through May.

Who Can Apply?

Weld Re-8 Schools is partnering with the Dacono and Fort Lupton Police Departments to host Standard Response Protocol (SRP) Community Trainings. Join us to learn how our 5 core safety actions (Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter) keep students, staff, and first responders safe.

🎉 Big news from the Weld Re-8 School District! At our recent Board of Education meeting, we officially welcomed the newest members of our Weld Re-8 family!

Our principals and directors took the floor to introduce their fantastic new team members, and the energy in the room was electric. We are incredibly fortunate to have such talented, high-quality educators and staff joining us for the upcoming school year. Their dedication, passion, and expertise are going to make a huge difference for our students and community.

What an INCREDIBLE way to kick off the new school year! 🎉🍎

The energy in the room was absolutely electric as we welcomed back our amazing returning team and gave a huge warm welcome to our new staff members!

We started off the right way—with full plates and happy hearts—thanks to a delicious district luncheon catered by our fantastic Chartwells food service team! 😋🥗

A huge thank you to our talented Fort Lupton High School Drama Club and our amazing Twombly Singers for their wonderful performances! They truly brought so much joy and spirit to our kickoff! 🎭🎶

President Bovee and Superintendent Dr. Ralston led an inspiring all-staff meeting, taking a look back at our achievements in 2025–2026 and laying out an exciting, bold vision for where we’re headed in 2026–2027. 🚀✨

Of course, it wouldn’t be a district kickoff without some serious fun!

🪙 Things got competitive fast with a game of Heads or Tails!

🎈 We kept the excitement going with our new favorite tradition: the Balloon Popping Game!

🍪 And we closed out the fun with our principals and directors battling it out in the hilarious Cookie Challenge!

We were honored to have so many key community partners join the celebration! A special shoutout to the Mayors of Dacono and Fort Lupton, our local Police Departments, City Administrators, Aims Community College, and the Fort Lupton Public and School Library for being with us. We are so grateful for your continued support of our schools and students! 🤝💙

🎒📚 We had an incredible turnout at our 2nd Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway! We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support our students and families as we kick off a great new school year! 📚🎒

A very special THANK YOU to our amazing community partners:

🎒 Lipman Family Farms – for their generous donation of backpacks and school supplies
🍎 McDonald’s Fort Lupton – for donating apples and cookies
🥞 Outpost Calvary Church – for donating pancakes and helping make the morning extra special

We are also incredibly thankful to all of the wonderful organizations, community members, volunteers, staff, and our Board of Education who showed up to help and support our students.

It truly takes a community, and we are so thankful to have a great community that continues to show up for our kids! 💙
