Based on the threat on social media, all after school activities today are cancelled.

Weld Re-8 Community,

The threat that was received today did not name a school in Weld Re-8 specifically. The threat came in through a social media site. This threat talks about a shooting at a school by 11 students. These threats are state wide and each one is being investigated. If you choose to have your student stay home tomorrow, please call your student's school and the absence will be excused.

Weld Re-8 Community,

There are social media posts this afternoon that are threatening school violence tomorrow. Fort Lupton Police and Dacono Police are aware of the threats. There will be a heightened awareness throughout the district with Police presence as well.

Weld Re-8 Community,

There are several posts on Social Media that are threatening to many schools across the state as well as the country. We have not received any threats in Weld Re-8. We have heightened awareness across our buildings and our School Resource Officers are actively monitoring each school.
