Several Butler students were selected to participate in Gallop into Literacy. This program is sponsored by Rhythm of the Horse in collaboration with the Fort Lupton Library and funded by the Fort Lupton Community Foundation. This is a program for 1st and 2nd grade students who participate in engaging activities designed to strengthen their literacy skills through phonics, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

¡Bienvenidos a la escuela primaria Butler! 24 de agosto de 2026

Ha sido un comienzo de año escolar muy emocionante. Los estudiantes se están adaptando a las rutinas de sus aulas y el personal docente los conoce cada día mejor. Gracias por confiarnos a sus hijos.

Noche de regreso a clases
Miércoles 26 de agosto, de 5:00pm a 7:00pm.
Esta será una oportunidad para que su hijo/a comparta las rutinas y expectativas del aula. También será un momento para que las familias compartan información y se conecten con los maestros y el personal. Su hijo/a compartirá más información una vez que comiencen las clases.

Evaluaciones de inicio de año
Todos los estudiantes realizarán las evaluaciones iReady. La prueba de lectura se realizará el lunes 31 de agosto y la de matemáticas el miércoles 2 de septiembre. Los estudiantes de kínder a tercer grado realizarán la evaluación de alfabetización DIBELS8 la semana del 24 al 28 de agosto. Los resultados de estas evaluaciones ayudarán a los maestros a satisfacer las necesidades académicas de cada estudiante.

Aparcamiento
Los espacios de estacionamiento son limitados y se asignan por orden de llegada. Por favor, respete el carril de "Abrazo y Salida" y no se estacione en este espacio. El carril de "Abrazo y Salida" es el espacio más cercano al edificio, marcado con pintura roja en el bordillo. Está destinado a que los estudiantes bajen del vehículo mientras los padres permanecen en él para mantener la fluidez del tráfico. Les pedimos a las familias que respeten las normas de seguridad vial y utilicen los pasos de peatones.

Horario escolar
La cafetería estará abierta todos los días para que los estudiantes puedan desayunar de 8:10 a 8:25 de la mañana.
Las puertas de las aulas se abrirán a las 8:20 de la mañana para dar comienzo a la jornada escolar de forma tranquila.
Las clases comienzan a las 8:30 de la mañana y la salida es a las 3:35 de la tarde.
Las familias pueden acompañar a sus hijos en la cafetería durante el desayuno, de 8:10 a 8:25 de la mañana todos los días.
Cualquier estudiante que se encuentre en las instalaciones escolares entre las 8:10 y las 8:20 deberá dirigirse a la cafetería para desayunar. Si un estudiante no va a desayunar en el comedor escolar, se le recomienda llegar a las 8:20.

Asistencia
Nuestro objetivo de asistencia escolar es del 98% o más. Les pedimos su colaboración para alcanzarlo, asegurándose de que su hijo/a asista a la escuela todos los días y a tiempo. Llevaremos un registro de la asistencia de los estudiantes y los premiaremos mensualmente por asistencia perfecta. También estamos preparando un premio de fin de año para los estudiantes con asistencia perfecta o casi perfecta. Recuerden que tres retrasos equivalen a un día de ausencia.

Se necesitan voluntarios
Buscamos voluntarios para ayudar en diversas áreas de la escuela. Un voluntario puede ser un padre, un abuelo, un miembro de la comunidad o cualquier persona que desee apoyar a Butler. Cada voluntario deberá presentar un formulario de voluntariado. A continuación, se detallan las oportunidades:

Welcome to Butler Elementary! August 24, 2026

It’s been an exciting start of the school year. Students are getting into the routines of their classrooms and staff are getting to know each of their students more and more every day. Thank you for sharing your child/ren with us.

Back to School Night: Wednesday, August 26th from 5-7pm
This will be an opportunity for your student to share the classroom routines and expectations. It will also be a time for families to share and connect with teachers and staff. More information will be shared from your student once school begins.

Beginning of the Year Assessments
All students will be taking the iReady assessments. The reading portion will be on Monday, August 31st and the math portion will be on Wednesday, September 2nd. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will be taking the DIBELS8 literacy assessment the week of August 24th-28th. The results of these assessments will help teachers meet the academic needs of each student.

Parking
Parking spots are limited and are a first come, first served basis. Please honor the Hug and Go lane by not parking in this space. The Hug and Go lane is the space closest to the building with red paint on the curb, it is meant for students to be dropped off while parents stay in their vehicle and keep the flow of traffic moving. We ask for families to follow traffic safety and use the crosswalks.

School Hours
The cafeteria will be opened daily for students to eat breakfast from 8:10– 8:25am daily.
Classroom doors will be open at 8:20am for Gentle Start of the day.
Instruction in classrooms begins at 8:30am and end of day dismissal is at 3:35pm.
Families are welcome to join their students in the cafeteria during breakfast from 8:10– 8:25am daily.
Any student on school property from 8:10-8:20 will be directed to the cafeteria for breakfast. If a student is not eating school breakfast, they are encouraged to arrive at 8:20am.

Attendance
Our school goal for attendance is 98% or higher. We ask that you help us reach our goal by ensuring your student is at school every day and on time. We will be tracking students' attendance and rewarding students on a monthly basis for perfect attendance. We are also working on a reward for students at the end of year for perfect and/or near perfect attendance. Please know three tardies equal one day of absence.

Volunteers NEEDED
We are looking for volunteers to help in various areas of the school. A volunteer can be a parent, a grandparent, a community member or any individual wanting to support Butler. Each volunteer will need to submit a volunteer form. The following are the opportunities:

Makerspace support (3-D printer)
Reading to students
Wednesday Folders
Mascot role
Lunch/Recess Monitors
Other as needed
