Tom is an accomplished performance horse trainer based at Papillon Ranch. His favorite performance classes are western pleasure futurities and western riding. Tom offers full training and starting of horses as well as a lesson program. Tom has had multiple Congress finalists and futurity winners, many World show qualifiers, as well as World and Reserve APHA World Champions. With assistant trainer
Ali Graves Kish, he runs a competition team for adults and teens who want to learn how to be successful and have fun showing. These two guide adults and teens through the process of training their horses and campaigning at local and national AQHA shows. While Tom takes the business of training horses seriously, he knows how stressful the prospect of showing is for amateur riders. His gentle coaching and ever-present sense of humor help his students stay relaxed, enjoy themselves, and remember what they have learned–even in the show ring! Tom has been married to Kelly Pachello-Forehand for 16 years and has two beautiful kids, Ross and Roxie. Tom is currently accepting horses and their people into his training and lesson program.
