This year, we are implementing a new approach to helping our teachers with classroom needsโ€ฆ ๐˜ž๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฉ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ž๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜บ!

Throughout the school year, Wood teachers will be able to let us know what their classrooms need most right now. Anything from basic classroom supplies, materials for a special project, or something that can help make the day a little easier for their students.

Teachers can submit their current needs & quantities through our Wishlist Wednesday form, and PTO will do our best to fulfill requests based on the funds we have available.

That means when you support a PTO fundraiser, attend an event, purchase candy grams, or donate, youโ€™re helping us do more than just host fun eventsโ€ฆ youโ€™re helping put resources directly into Wood classrooms and into the hands of our teachers & students. ๐Ÿงก

We know we canโ€™t fulfill every request, but we hope to help lessen the burden on our educators when classroom needs would otherwise have to come out of their own pockets. We want to use the funds our Wood families help us raise to make a difference where it matters most ๐Ÿซ

We were able to donate lots of books, fidget toys for summer classes, & some snacks for the food pantry.

Weโ€™re so thankful for the ASYMCA & everything they do for our community, and we love supporting them any chance we can. Thank you to everyone who helps us give back and make a difference๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค

To the President of PTO, the mastermind, the queen of creativity, the heart and soul!! Where would we be without you? We would be lost, plain and simple! You have been the glue that has held us together for the past 2 years. You show everyone kindness and patience! You always listen and hear what people say so we can improve from their feedback. The weather held off, everyone loved it, we had souvenirs ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ and we received such great feedback from both students & teachers! We truly hope every student enjoyed a day full of games, snacks, races, laughter, and making memories with their friends.โค๏ธ

We are so proud of our students and how hard they work all year long; they deserve the world, & we were so happy to give back to them today! We even got Mrs. Headrick in the dunk tank, what a highlight, who wouldnโ€™t want to dunk the principal?!๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿฏ

A ๐‡๐”๐†๐„ shoutout goes to SSG Carter and the incredible group of CAT 1-10 Marines who volunteered their entire day to help make this possible. You made this day so special for these kids! Geraldine, our Secretary, has done SO much for our PTO this year. She has gone above & beyond working with local businesses to bring in sponsorships, and if youโ€™ve ever wondered whoโ€™s behind Popcorn Fridayโ€ฆ itโ€™s her. Every single time. She spends the entire day popping popcorn & filling bags for over 300 kids without missing a beat. Next year will not be the same without her

Rachael, our Vice President, has been the best partner to lean on. Sheโ€™s been a constant at every event, always ready to jump in & help with whatever is needed in that moment. She has been invaluable when it comes to decision making & ideas and keeping things running smoothly. Having that kind of support makes all the difference when you have a team as small as we did.

Geraldineanne and Rachael will both be heading to new duty stations this summer, and while I know theyโ€™ll do amazing things wherever they go next, their presence is going to be so missed here! Thank you both for everything youโ€™ve given to our PTO this year. I am beyond grateful for you, and will miss you terribly. Wishing you both nothing but success & happiness in your next chapter.โค๏ธ
