⚓ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ⚓

The Maritime Law Society partnered with to organize an emergency supply drive, and this Saturday we delivered everything directly to the ship at Port Everglades.

A special shoutout to Bryan Velasquez (3L), who went above and beyond by personally driving seafarers to the resources needed.

Thank you to every student who donated, volunteered, and showed up when it mattered. This is what community looks like. 🌊

A few weeks ago, our members volunteered at Seafarers’ House in Port Everglades, dedicating their time to welcome crew members from ships around the world and learn firsthand about the lives of mariners at sea.

From ship visits to serving at the welcome desk, our students proudly represented St. Thomas University College of Law while giving back to the global seafaring community.

💙 Thank you to everyone who came out to serve, connect, and support the mission of Seafarers’ House.

📅 Reminder: Our next volunteer day will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025. We hope to see you there!

Huge thanks to Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades for welcoming our Maritime Law students into your “home away from home” for crew members and the maritime community!

Our Maritime Law students gained invaluable insights into admiralty law, had the privilege of delivering gifts to the seafarers, and toured the ships docked at the port.

Special thanks to Michelle Otero Valdés, Esq. and Savanna Hamilton, Esq. for making this hands-on learning experience possible!

Looking forward to many more opportunities to serve the maritime community ⚓️⚖️
