Steal this 👇 ABC order without the meltdown.

If “put these in alphabetical order” turns into a 45-minute battle at your house, the problem usually isn’t your kid. It’s the format.

A worksheet asks them to hold the whole alphabet in their head AND sort AND write all at once. For a kid who learns by doing, that’s a lot.

So we break it apart and let their hands do the thinking:
✂️ Cut the words out so each one can move
🔤 Lay an ABC chart right there as the anchor — no memorizing required
👆 Sort the words against the chart, one at a time
📌 Tape them down once they’re in order

That’s it. Same skill the worksheet was testing but now it’s hands-on, low-pressure, and it actually sticks. The chart carries the alphabet so their brain is free to focus on the one thing they’re practicing: the order.

This is what we mean when we say we teach the way they learn. đź’›

Try it tonight and let us know how it goes!

A kid walked into Learning Lab not believing she could do it. She just walked out a graduate. 🎓❤️

Silvana officially graduated from the Learning Lab, and the things she said on her way out had us in tears (swipe to read 🥹). “So much confidence.” “I can never thank you enough.” “They left such a huge impact on who I am today.”

But honestly? The gratitude goes both ways. This is what we get to witness when a child is finally taught the way THEY learn instead of the way the world told them they should. The struggle, the doubt, the “maybe I’m just not smart”,  it doesn’t have to be permanent.

Watching a kid walk out of here believing in themselves the way they should’ve all along is the whole reason we do this.

We are SO proud of you, Silvana. đź’›

He wasn’t being dramatic. He wasn’t not trying. He was a smart kid who’d spent so long struggling that he’d started to believe something was wrong with him.
It wasn’t.

He just needed someone to teach him the way he learns.

So that’s what we did. And this kid showed up, did the hard work, and slowly started to believe in himself again.

And now? Watch the video. That’s the same boy who couldn’t get through a page without giving up.

If your child has ever cried over reading, if you’ve ever watched them call themselves “dumb” or “slow”,  if school keeps telling you to “wait and see” — This is your reminder that they’re not behind. They might just need to be taught differently.

That’s the whole reason we exist. 🧠❤️

Hmmmm, we see a pattern here 🤔…

A lot of the kids we evaluate aren’t lazy or unmotivated. They’re overwhelmed, frustrated, and working much harder than people realize.

Sometimes the problem isn’t effort.
It’s that no one has figured out how they learn best yet.

That’s why evaluations matter.

A lot of the families who find us have kids who are trying incredibly hard, but school still feels harder than it should.

That’s why we teach differently.

We believe struggling learners deserve support that matches the way they learn, not more pressure to fit into one teaching style.

And honestly? That probably makes some people want to follow us and others unfollow us. We’re okay with that.

Follow along if this sounds like your kind of learning support.

If this school year felt like your child was constantly trying to keep up, that’s not something to ignore.

Summer is where you finally have the time to slow it down and fix what’s been getting in the way. That’s when things start to click.

You can see it as a parent. They’re trying, they’re putting in the effort. And still… it’s harder than it should be.

That disconnect is what wears on you, because it doesn’t match what you know about your child.

But school has a very specific way of measuring success. And when a child doesn’t fit neatly into that, it can start to feel like something is wrong.

There isn’t.

It just means they need to be taught in a way that actually matches how they learn. That’s when things start to click.
If this school year felt heavier than it should have, don’t ignore that feeling. Summer is the first real chance to slow it down and work on what’s been getting in the way all along.
