A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Broward Education Foundation’s Back-to-School Supply Drive a tremendous success! 💙

This year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, community partners and Adopt-a-School participants, we were able to:

🎒 Distribute 6,965 backpacks filled with essential school supplies
💙 Raise more than $112,000 to support Broward County Public Schools students
📈 Increase funds raised by 32%
📚 Impact 46% more students than last year

Our fifth annual Broward County High School National Football Showcase brought together some of the nation’s top high school football programs and rising stars for an incredible week of competition across Greater Fort Lauderdale.

From thrilling matchups to nationally televised games, the Showcase gave talented student-athletes the opportunity to compete against elite programs and prove their skills on a national stage. More than 100 ESPN Top-300 recruits have competed in the Showcase since its inceptions, helping establish Broward County as one of the nation’s premier talent-producing regions.

A huge thank you to the athletes, coaches, families, fans, volunteers, sponsors and community partners who helped make this year’s Showcase a success. We’re proud to shine a spotlight on Broward County’s incredible football talent and support opportunities that help student-athletes reach their full potential. 🏆

The future of learning is here! 🎓✨

Broward Education Foundation was proud to support the celebration of new Extended Reality (XR) technology at Sunrise Middle School. Through a multi-year grant from the College Football Playoff Foundation and Capital One Orange Bowl Committee, with support from Broward Education Foundation, the school received 50 XR headsets, charging and storage carts, and a refreshed Innovation Space designed to inspire collaboration and hands-on learning.

These innovative tools will give students opportunities to explore immersive learning experiences across all content areas. The $500,000 grant will support 10 Broward County Public Schools over five years, helping bring the possibilities of XR technology to classrooms across the district.

We are excited to see how Sunrise Middle School students use these new tools to learn, explore and imagine what’s possible! 🚀

🏈 It’s game time! The Broward County High School National Football Showcase kicks off tonight!

Running August 21–29, the showcase brings together Broward County's top-ranked teams who will face off against nationally prominent programs and some of the most highly recruited student-athletes in the country. Two games will be nationally televised on ESPN2, and thanks to our amazing partners at BECON TV all the other games will be streamed live, giving these rising stars a national platform to compete against elite competition and showcase their talents to college coaches, recruiters, media, and fans across the country.
