So today is the day that I get to share with you my brand new website Adele Sciortino, Artist. It has been in the works for a long time, more on paper, but super excited that it is finally finished and that for the first time in my life I am able to represent myself and all the passions that I love in the arts. A big rework on my social media platforms as well. It was a big undertaking but I am happy it is done. I have so much to share, which I will be talking more about what I am doing as things start finalizing. Understanding why certain projects remain unfinished can pose a challenge. Recently, I wrapped up a wool portrait and dedicated yesterday to organizing my workspace, with the goal of tackling a drawing that has been sitting untouched for months. This particular piece has presented its share of obstacles - whether it's the subject matter, the intricacy of the fur, or uncertainty about its outcome, I can't quite pinpoint the issue. Nevertheless, it's hindered my progress and transition to my next color pencil project. Today, however, marks my renewed commitment to it. No more procrastination - it's time to see this through to the end! I'll see how far I can push forward today. A glimpse of my current work in progress! 🎨 This piece has presented a delightful challenge as I venture into the realm of sculpting in wool. Although there's still a long road ahead, what you see here represents about 8 hours of work. The reference image I'm using helps guide the positioning of the head, adding depth and realism to the sculpture. Stay tuned as this continues to evolve! 🌟👩‍🎨
