Office of Student Support Initiatives works to met the needs of students (physical, emotional, and social) to be present and focused at school, to provide academic and SEL guidance, and to mitigate for life circumstances that can interfere with learning (poverty, homelessness, migration). Office of Early Learning & Language Acquisition works to ensure that all students are English language proficient regardless of when they entered Broward County. Additionally, ELLA promotes students becoming multi-lingual through dual language programs, world language course sequences, and global cultural competency. Office of Teacher Support & Development works to provide classroom practioners with information and guidance on learners at the individual and group level, determine personalized professional development paths for teachers, and to have high quality professional development for adult learners in multiple formats and modalities.
