Our agricultural program is flourishing! Our Experimental Farm is providing fresh, fruits and vegetables for the children at the foundation. What an abundant harvest of passion fruit and papaya to enjoy as a sweet reward for their hard work. Thank you Elvin for keeping our boys, handsome!  Elvin has a great talent for cutting hair, and was our “barber” when he lived at our home AHLE.

Congratulations to Gerardo on completing his thesis toward his engineering degree in Renewable Energy! This was an incredibly ambitious project, requiring extensive research, experimentation, and testing to transform rice hulls into building blocks as strong as cement.
We are so proud of him and all he has accomplished. The future needs more eco-conscious engineers like Gerardo.

Cruz holds the children, especially close to his heart as he also grew up at the foundation and went on to graduate from our Higher Ed program with a university degree in Tourism Business Administration. He also has been sponsoring one of the children himself, giving back in a powerful way as he understands firsthand how life-changing that support can be!

Happy Birthday to our incredible Director and Project Coordinator, Cristina Mullin-Addison! 🎉
Since joining AJC Children’s Foundation in 2012, Cristina had a vision and saw the potential of this children’s foundation and through her direction and determination, she has helped turn that vision into reality. She launched our most successful initiative, the Higher Education Program, and has also implemented into reality the Experimental Farm which is completely off the grid.
Cristina pours her heart and soul into everything she does. Much of her work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by every child and every part of our foundation. She is always there, 24/7, offering support, guidance, and care without ever seeking recognition for all the work she does.
Today, we celebrate not only her birthday but also the dedication, passion, and selflessness she brings to our mission every single day. Cristina, thank you for everything you do. We love you and are so grateful for you! 💙 ajccf.org
