🌙✨ Israel Quest ✨🌙

This week, our Hebrew School explorers discovered a powerful tool that has kept the Jewish people connected to Hashem—and to each other—no matter where we are in the world: the Jewish Calendar 🗓️💫

From celebrating Shabbat and Yom Tov to staying in sync as one nation, the Jewish calendar is more than dates—it’s connection, identity, and rhythm. Did you know it was actually the very first mitzvah Hashem gave the Jewish people as they became a nation? 🤯

We dove into the fascinating “how” behind it all:
🌑 How the calendar follows the cycle of the moon
🌒 What the lunar phases look like
🌕 How Rosh Chodesh was determined
🌘 And why this system is so meaningful to Jewish life

And of course… we made it FUN (and delicious 😋):
🍪 Edible Moon I-Spy—snacking our way through the moon phases
☕ Heat-activated moon cups—watching the moon “grow” right before our eyes!

Just like the moon, the Jewish people are always growing and renewing. Each mitzvah we do helps us shine a little brighter 💛

We can’t wait to continue with Jewish Calendar Part 2 next week! Stay tuned… 🌙🚀

Shabbat Shalom a Todos! Mirny Subbota! Sangla Shabbat!

Did you know these are all ways to say “Shabbat Shalom” in Spanish (Mexico), Russian, and Marathi (India)? 🌍

At CKids Hebrew School, we learned about one of the most important tools that keeps the Jewish people connected—to Hashem and to each other: the Shul.

We explored what a Shul is, why it’s so central to Jewish life, and how it brings a community together. Our students had a blast playing “Guess Who: Shul Edition,” discovering the people and items you might find in a synagogue.

Then came our Shul Scavenger Hunt, where we toured the and found real-life treasures like siddurim, chumashim, a bimah, tzedakah box, tallit, and kippah. The highlight? Opening the Aron Kodesh and seeing—and kissing—the holy Torahs inside.

From learning to experiencing, it was a day filled with connection, discovery, and Jewish pride. ✨

We learned the inspiring story of Ruth, the princess who chose Torah and Mitzvot over comfort and wealth — showing us that a life of purpose is the most precious gift! 💛

Students watched the story unfold and used scratch-off cards to guess what would happen next — so much excitement! And inspired by Ruth’s courage, everyone chose a new mitzvah at our Mitzvah Millionaire Auction, earning prizes to help them keep their commitments. 🌟💪

Our younger group continued their Super Jew adventure, learning about our beautiful Torah and the mitzvot inside.

So proud of our students choosing kindness, mitzvot, and Jewish pride — just like Ruth! 🤍

✨Super Jew continues at Grow Hebrew School!✨

This week, we uncovered our secret superpower — our Neshama (soul)! 💫
It’s the spark inside each of us that brings our bodies to life and helps us make the right choices — to choose mitzvot and spread goodness everywhere we go!

💡 We made light-up balloon people to remind us of our inner light,
💥 watched a fizzing explosion to see our energy in action,
💎 and discovered our very own superpower gems!

Our students are learning that being a Super Jew starts from the inside out — powered by the Neshama! ⚡️

Our IsraelQuest adventure continued!

We learned how the Jewish People returned to the Holy Land after Hashem freed them from slavery in Egypt. They were finally ready to become their own nation — but first, they had to face the mighty walls of Yericho! 🧱

The Jews couldn’t break through the walls on their own, but Hashem could — and He did! 💪✨

Our students discovered that Hashem is our true source of strength and power — when we do our part and try our best, Hashem takes care of the rest!

To bring this powerful message to life, we made our own stress balls 🌀 as a reminder not to worry, because Hashem’s got us! Then we had a blast (literally!) building the walls of Yericho and knocking them down with a mighty shofar blast! 📯

We can’t wait to see what happens next on our journey through IsraelQuest — stay tuned for more learning, laughter, and connection! 💙

🌍✨ This week at Hebrew School, we dove into the very beginning — Bereish*t, the Creation of the world by Hashem!

We learned that:
🕊️ Hashem is the Creator of everything — the sky, land, seas, animals, people… and us!
🌅 He created the world in six incredible days
🌟 Hashem is everywhere, always with us, and He loves us so much!

To bring it to life, we went on an exciting Creation Hunt 🔍 — discovering what Hashem made each day!

🎶 We also launched our Super Jew curriculum with our awesome new theme song — because when we know Hashem, His Torah, and who we are, we’re truly super!

So much fun, so much learning — and we’re just getting started!

🍎🍯 What a sweet start to the Grow Hebrew School year! The children uncovered the colors of Rosh Hashana as they collected vibrant shades for their honey bear paint pours. From red pomegranates to golden honey and fresh green apples, each color reminded us of the beauty and blessings this new year brings.
✨ Wishing you a year filled with sweetness, joy, and lots of nachat from your children! Shana Tovah! 🍎🍯🍏
