Working transitions from concealment and the high ready, or as Frank says, "The Go Gun". Pistol only, so YES FROM CONCEALMENT, no battle belt.

It's cold everywhere else. Not here, we're training in warm weather.

Pro tip: After coming home from the range, check all of your pockets well. These 2 empty casings made it into my pockets and I taught that, not shot. Imagine forgetting to check and washing, then wearing those pants to the airport or some other area where they screen for weapons etc. I say this because it has happened to people I know.

B8 bullseye (5.54" diameter), 15 yards with a sub-compact pistol and a short 3.25" barrel. 15 yards is not an unreasonable distance to engage a threat. That 3-7 yards average data means there are numbers both FURTHER & closer (gricery store isle is 25 yards fyi). Shooting further away and at smaller targets exposes deficiencies that you will never see at 5 yards.

Remember, smaller guns are harder to shoot. Practice with what you carry, not just your full size! I carry both a subcompact with a 3.25" barrel and a compact with a 3.9" barrel. That micro pocket gun that people struggle to hit anywhere in the body at 5 yards is probably too small (IT IS TOO SMALL).

As a reminder, do not leave your gun in vehicle whenever possible. Definitely never overnight. Most of the break-ins are directly outside people's own homes. If you do need to secure it in your vehicle temporarily for entry into a place you can't legally carry, a bolt in safe (like Locker Down, or directly from factory) is best. A last resort could be a portable safe with a cable secured to a metal piece in the car.

Lastly, if you keep your gun in your vehicle even when entering places you can legally carry, stop doing that! It does no good if you actually need it and gives criminals more access to your gun.
