🌱✨ EXCITING NEWS FROM THE LIVING SCHOOL ✨🌱

This upcoming school year, The Living School: Education Outside the Box will be launching a brand-new Vocational & Life Skills Program for students with special needs!

Our students will participate in meaningful, hands-on experiences focused on building:
💼 Job skills
🧠 Independence
🤝 Communication & teamwork
🌱 Confidence and responsibility

Students may participate in:
🍪 Baking and packaging simple products
🧵 Sewing beginner items like grow bags
🪵 Creating simple wood-based projects
🌿 Gardening using portable grow systems
💰 Practicing real-world selling through supervised student pop-up shops in the community

We are currently building partnerships with:
✅ Local professional kitchens
✅ Community locations
✅ Local businesses and organizations that will allow students to practice vocational and life skills in real-world settings

This program is being designed with ALL learners in mind, including students who are nonverbal or need higher levels of support. Our focus is on participation, structure, communication, teamwork, and real-life learning experiences.
