The moment I start to feel overwhelmed with being a one-woman show is the same exact moment I become overwhelmed with gratitude for being gifted with creativity. 🪄✨

I used to hush away any kind of recognition for my creativity, but I’ve decided that’s whack. No more selling myself short by keeping my talents to myself. I will now be accepting any + all applause for what I choose to share with the world.

My hope for all creators is that, starting now, you become more + more comfortable with sharing your special talents with the rest of us. Let 2024 be the year you unleash + for once, not feel guilty or shy about it. ✌🏽💕

HOT TAKE ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Coaching is not complicated. 🤷🏻‍♀️👀

Two things I still hear way too often:
1. “I don’t really get what coaching is about.”
2. “Isn’t coaching just like therapy?”

My thoughts? You either don’t care to know what it’s all about or you’re not trying in the least bit to understand.

My friends, the idea of coaching is NOT complicated. The most simplest definition of a coach is someone who teaches + trains.

Think of sports coaching for a moment. Pick your favorite professional sport + favorite team. Doesn’t matter. That coach is guaranteed to have the following:
+ Invaluable life experience
+ Training and qualifications to do his or her job
+ Growth and abundance mindset
+ Strategies and Exercises for winning
+ Goals and action steps for achievement
+ Elevated perspective
+ Ability to point out blind spots
+ Ability to course correct
+ Systems to promote efficiency

The list goes on. Hopefully the idea is starting to come together now. The point is, the same qualities apply to a trained, professional life coach.

Are the intricacies of who qualifies as a great coach, various coaching techniques, skills required for excellent coaching + building a coaching practice much deeper than that? YES.

However, the concept of coaching is as simple as a collaboration between a client and the coach where the two work together to help the client achieve a goal.

Coaches exist as another resource for mental health support + maybe that’s what you’re still so afraid of. I don’t know, you tell me.

And if you’re still not sure about coaching or the difference between coaching and therapy, I encourage you to take the time to do your own research. The benefits to both are endless + it’s time, as adults, to share the good word.

Taking care of yourself is crucial for entrepreneurs who are feeling burnt out + struggling with people-pleasing tendencies. ⚡️🔋💪🏽

Here are some reminders specifically tailored to address these challenges:

1. Set Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries, stick to specific working hours + daily non-negotiables to protect your energy + prevent overworking.

2. Prioritize your well-being: Your health, both physical and mental, should come first. Make time for exercise, proper nutrition, and sufficient sleep.

3. Self-Reflection: Take time to reflect on your motivations + values. Understand your habits + work on aligning your actions with your authentic self.

4. Delegate + Outsource: You don't have to do everything yourself.

5. Time Management: Promote organization + efficiency by implementing time blocks for specific tasks + creating detailed lists.

6. Seek Support: Asking for help is a sign of strength. Seek support from a therapist or coach who can help you navigate through obstacles.

7. Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness and meditation exercises to help reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and improve your ability to stay present in the moment.

8. Learn to Say No: Practice saying "no" without feeling guilty.

9. Surround Yourself with Positive Influences: Limit interactions with those who drain your energy.

10. Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Understand that making mistakes is a part of the entrepreneurial journey.

11. Regular Breaks: Incorporate short breaks into your workday to recharge. Rest is also productive.

12. Set Realistic Goals: Reevaluate your business goals to ensure they are realistic + achievable.

13. Connect with a Mentor or Support Group: Seek guidance and support from a mentor or join a community or support group for entrepreneurs. Sharing experiences and challenges with like-minded individuals can provide valuable insights + emotional support.

Remember that self-care is an ongoing process. It's important to prioritize your well-being + regularly reassess your self-care strategies to ensure they remain effective.

If you're new to goal-setting, start by making SMART goals. 🧠🔑✨.

SMART goals are a framework for setting and achieving goals that are clear, well-defined, and actionable. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant (or Realistic), and Time-bound.

Here's a breakdown of what each component means:
+ Specific: Your goal should be clear and specific, leaving no room for ambiguity. You should be able to answer the questions: What exactly do you want to accomplish? Why is it important? Who is involved? Where will it happen? What resources or constraints are involved?

+ Measurable: A goal should be quantifiable so that you can track your progress and determine when you have successfully achieved it. Ask yourself: How will you measure your progress or know when you've reached your goal? What are the concrete criteria for success?

+ Achievable: Your goal should be realistic and attainable, considering your available resources, skills, and constraints. It should be challenging but not so unattainable that it becomes demotivating. Ask yourself: Is this goal within reach, given your current circumstances?

+ Relevant (or Realistic): Your goal should align with your overall objectives and be relevant to your life or work. It should make sense and contribute to your broader aspirations. Ask yourself: Does this goal matter to you, and does it fit within your larger plans?

+ Time-bound:Goals should have a clearly defined timeframe, specifying when the goal will be achieved. A deadline creates a sense of urgency and helps prevent procrastination. Ask yourself: When do you want to achieve this goal? What is the deadline?

By making your goals SMART, you provide yourself with a structured approach to goal setting that increases your chances of success. It helps you avoid vague or overly ambitious goals and provides a roadmap for achievement.
