things – cultivating the growth of healthy and diverse communities. Using a whole-child, emergent learning approach, Take Root’s team tends to the ROOTS of GROWTH. The team of Teachers & Nature Guides supports the needs of the children – leading them through a learning process that nurtures their souls, feeds their minds and strengthens their bond with the community. Take Root nourishes the ROOTS – tilling the soil in preparation for healthy growth of body and mind – allowing space for each child to find their Sense of Place.

Our first Adventure Pass gathering! Those enrolled in Homeschool Forest School and Family Forest School, come on out and meet your teachers! Rain or shine. Beach

🌿 TUES-FRI: Orientation Week
Small groups, slow start, getting comfy in the forest. Parents and caregivers, STAY AND PLAY!

🌳 TUESDAY 9/8: First Official Day of Forest School.
The day after Labor Day. Childhood starts here.

Dolly taught us to work hard, laugh loud, and lead with love.

At Take Root, our 9 to 5 sometimes looks like this: a teacher belting it out, dancing unapologetically in the shade, living her best life, while kids tend the forest floor, prepping it for our annual fundraiser. 90% joy, 10% actually getting things done, 100% community. 🥰

Dolly showed us you can wear rhinestones and still get your hands dirty. You can be bold, kind, and never stop giving.
Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the magic, the messages, and the reminder that childhood - and all of us - deserve to shine. ✨
