Today our students stepped behind the scenes at Hungry Howie’s Pizza for a hands-on learning experience. They explored the different roles that keep a restaurant running smoothly, from working the register and learning customer service skills to making their own pizzas, boxing orders, and delivering them. Experiences like this help students connect real-world skills with confidence, teamwork, communication, and entrepreneurship. It was an incredible field trip filled with learning, laughter, and lots of pizza.

What if school prepared students for the real world instead of just the next test?

At Colossal, students don’t wait until adulthood to begin building their future.
They launch businesses.
Build websites.
Pitch ideas publicly.
Work with AI tools.
Connect with mentors.
Create portfolios with purpose.

This is what future-ready learning looks like.

Small learning environments.
Big ideas.
Real-world impact.

Enrollment is now open for students ready to learn differently.

A few weeks ago, our students had the opportunity to visit the campus of Nova Southeastern University because we believe conversations about the future can’t wait until junior or senior year.

At Colossal, we expose students early to college campuses, career pathways, entrepreneurship, and real-world opportunities so they can begin imagining what’s possible for their lives now — not later.

Whether college becomes their path or not, young people deserve the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and see themselves in spaces of higher learning long before the pressure of graduation arrives. Exposure creates confidence. Experiences create vision.

The future is built through exploration.

We are incredibly proud to share that Colossal Academy is officially WASC Accredited.

This milestone means so much to us because innovative education models often don’t fit neatly into traditional systems built for a very different era of schooling. One of the biggest challenges has been finding ways to quantify and communicate the things we know matter deeply — relationships, experiential learning, entrepreneurial thinking, community connection, real-world application, belonging, and student agency alongside strong academics.

Throughout this process, WASC truly saw us. They understood that education can evolve while still maintaining rigor and accountability. They asked thoughtful questions, held space for innovation, and recognized that meaningful learning can happen both inside and beyond traditional classroom walls.

We are deeply grateful to our students, families, staff, and community who believed in this vision from the beginning.

This is a huge moment for Colossal Academy and for the future of education.

The Future is Bright!

There’s something transformative about stepping into spaces like Superblue Miami—where art surrounds you, moves with you, and invites you in.

Our students experienced creativity at scale—light, sound, reflection, and movement all coming together in ways that shift perspective and open imagination.

Being immersed in art like this expands how they see the world and what they believe is possible to create within it.

This is learning you can feel. Superblue Miami

Today in Project FlourishFlourish, our Food Lab centered around one powerful, humble ingredient: corn 🌽

From scratch, students created:
– Vibrant stuffed peppers
– Street-style elote
– Fresh, handmade arepas

But this wasn’t just cooking—it was life in motion.

In a world where so much is pre-packaged and disconnected, learning how to cook is an act of independence. It’s confidence. It’s creativity. It’s care.

When teenagers step into the kitchen, something shifts:
They begin to understand what fuels their bodies.
They learn how to nourish themselves and others.
They experience the rhythm of preparing something real—with their hands, their senses, their attention.

A plant-based approach adds another layer—students start to see the connection between food, the earth, and their health. They explore how ingredients grow, how flavors come together, and how choices impact their energy, focus, and long-term well-being.

This is home economics, reimagined:
Not outdated recipes—but relevant, empowering skills for real life.

Because knowing how to cook isn’t just about food.
It’s about agency.
It’s about community.
It’s about building a life you can sustain—and share.

Learning with purpose. Building the future.
