Science came to life in the school garden yesterday! Mrs. Deppen’s class officially released their monarch butterfly into the world. The students gathered around to watch eagerly as it took flight and fluttered away into the sunshine.

Celebrating Excellence: Our Fort Jones Elementary School Earns State PBIS Gold Awards Two Years in a Row!

We are thrilled to announce that Fort Jones Elementary has achieved the prestigious Gold Level State Recognition from the California PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coalition for the second consecutive year!

This back-to-back honor highlights our schools' exceptional commitment to creating safe, supportive, and positive learning environments. The Gold Implementation Award is only given to schools that meet rigorous state standards, including high scores on the Tiered Fidelity Inventory, excellent classroom walkthrough results, and proven academic and behavioral growth for our students.

This achievement is a direct result of the hard work of our dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families. By focusing on proactive support, clear expectations, and data-driven decisions, we continue to build a school culture where every student can thrive.

The energy on campus today was unbeatable. We were so excited to welcome our Bulldogs back into the classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds. From catching up with old friends to meeting new faces, it’s clear this is going to be an amazing year together.
