Welcome back, Musketeers! 🧡🖤

This week marks the start of the school year getting into FULL SWING, and there is already plenty happening around Jennings Local!

📚 First day of school - Monday, August 24!

⛳ Golf has been competing in matches over the past several weeks, putting in the work on the links and putting up some great numbers!

⚽ Girls and Boys Soccer kicked off their seasons last night with TWO WINS! What a great way to start the season!

🎒 This morning, we welcomed our 6th graders to the high school as they begin this exciting new chapter at Jennings Local!

🎨 We also got a sneak peek behind the scenes with our awesome Student Council, spending one of their last few days of summer decorating the high school wing and getting things ready for their classmates.

🏫 Our elementary classrooms are looking great and are ready to welcome students back!

⭐ And yesterday, our PBIS Team met to plan some great activities and events for the upcoming school year.

The halls are getting busier, our teams are competing, our students are preparing, and the excitement is building!

- August 19 at 10 am - 6th Grade Orientation
- August 19 from 1-3 pm - High School Schedule Pickup
- August 20 from 4-5 pm - Elementary Open House
- August 24 - First Day of School for grades 1-12 (Also first day of religious education classes for grades 1-6 students who attend)
- August 24 - Kindergarten Readiness Assessment for incoming kindergartners, by appointment only (contact the elem. office to schedule)
- August 25 - First Day of School for kindergarten (Also first day of religious education for kindergarten students who attend)

Athletic Ticket Sales 🧡🖤
Sports passes will be sold in HS Office on Wednesday, August 19th 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and during regular school hours after August 24th. Tickets are also available at the first home games - Girls Varsity Soccer on August 22nd and Boys Varsity Soccer on August 18th and 22nd. *Winter passes and basketball
season tickets will still be available for purchase at a later date.

This year Musketeer Athletics will feature a new
streaming option for soccer, basketball and baseball.
Thank you to the support of the Musketeer Athletic
Boosters and the Athletic Department to make this opportunity
available to our coaches and players for game film review, stats, and for spectators! Streaming options will be shared in the
very near future.
*NFHS will continue through this year as in the past.

Understanding Our Decision Regarding the Student Athlete Mobility (SAM) Act

Jennings Local Schools appreciates the feedback, conversations, and passion our community has shown regarding the Student Athlete Mobility (SAM) Act. We understand this topic is important to our students, families, and supporters of Musketeer athletics.

The Board of Education and Administration have carefully considered this issue with the responsibility of protecting opportunities for all Jennings Local student-athletes while supporting the long-term success and sustainability of our Musketeer athletic programs.

Please review the attached fact sheet for additional information regarding the factors and considerations that guided this decision.
