Big surprise! We will be open Monday, August 4, as we host a local group of traditional rug makers at work, pulling loops of wool by hand to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind textiles. These ladies bring patterns to life, one stitch at a time!

We are also open today, Saturday, August 2, until 2 PM EST. We would love to see you!

Now is your chance! The Museum will be open on Saturday, April 5, from 10 -2 EST. If you've wanted to stop by and see the new Coke Mural, we'd love you to drop in the Museum during your visit.

To help us preserve Fort Gaines and other landmarks across Clay County, please consider joining the Historical Society. Memberships are $30 annually. Please message us for more information!
The mural is located on the side of the Fort Gaines Museum, 105 Washington Street, next to KJ’s Grilling Company.

Thank you to Coca-Cola and Beryl Jackson for the refreshed (and refreshing) new look to our Coke Mural! The original was painted in the early 1920s & we are so proud to be a part of this project. Come visit the mural and pose with the Coke bottle - use for a chance to be featured in our page!

We will be closed to the public for the first Saturday in March. We have a large tour group that is returning for their annual visit.
