Second grade took a field trip to the Malcolm Science Center last week. The essential question of the day was: How have birds adapted to survive in our forest ecosystem?

While in the Science Center, the students learned about bird adaptations. Students created bird feeder bracelets to hang out in the woods for the birds and other animals to enjoy. Students walked in and around the bird sanctuary to look more closely at the forest habitat and found a place to hang their bird feeders. As always we had a wonderful time and thank the Francis Malcolm Science Center for hosting these events for our youth.

On Friday, students from MSAD 20 competed in the swimming events for Special Olympics at Gentile Hall.

FFES was fortunate 🍀 enough to have this amazing teacher 🍎 teaching with us for decades before she “retired”.
Now filling in as a long term sub, it felt fitting to celebrate 🎉 Mrs Jones in a big way today.
Mrs Pinette’s Grade 2 students composed and read “80 facts for 80 years” !
