Iowa Central Community College Agriculture/PAS

We had five students choose to spend their spring break attending the Nationals PAS conference in Branson, MO. They spent the week competing in Agronomy, Floral Design, College Bowl, and Employment Interview competitions, attending workshops, and developing professional skills they will use in their careers. We have no doubt all five will be leaders in whatever path they choose!

We had seven students choose to take part in the 2026 Iowa PAS State Leadership Conference. The spent their time listening to speakers, networking, and competing in their chosen contests. The Agronomy Specialist team of Grace Schlak, Toby Debeer, and Josh Hull finished in 2nd place with Grace earning the 2nd highest overall individual. The Beef Specialist team of Mylee Merritt, Adison Burke, and Bradly Bills finished in 8th place. Jackie Minton finished in 3rd place in Employment Interview Agribusiness Administration. Grace Schlak finished in 3rd place on Agriculture Sales. We are proud of this group for stepping out of their comfort zone and gaining experience that will serve them well in their careers in the future.

Our Farm Operations and Management 2 class had the opportunity to present to the Webster County Board of Supervisors regarding the 2025 growing season today. Thank you to the Webster County Board of Supervisors for your continued support of our program. The opportunities you provide our students by allowing us to lease farm ground in order to give students the hands on experience of managing a farm is incredible. We appreciate you!
