This incredible group of humans was part of the very first year I taught at Iowa Central. They taught me just as much as I taught them, and they will always hold such a special place in my heart.

Event photography isn’t easy—it takes confidence, quick thinking, and a sharp creative eye to capture meaningful moments as they happen. It can be intimidating stepping into those spaces, but that’s where real growth happens.

So proud of Jacob Sorenson Jacob Allen photography , Bre Bethke, and Sawyer Lochray for stepping up, volunteering their time, and taking on the challenge of photographing the May Day Luncheon for the Fighting Angels Breast Cancer event.

It is so important that we give our students at Iowa Central Community College opportunities like this—to grow, build confidence, and give back to our community.

The end of the academic year always hits a little bittersweet.
This group has built something really special together—an incredible bond that shows in our creative spaces every day.
Tonight marks the last student art show for many of these amazing humans, and we couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them.
