Allie Schwanz (soon to be 10th grader) and Baylie Jo (soon to be 5th grader) set up a lemonade stand last Thursday and Friday along the detour route on 2nd St NW, and raised an incredible $562!

But here's the best part: these two decided to take half of their earnings to purchase backpacks and school supplies for students right here in the Fort Dodge Community School District. 🖤❤️

Way to go, Allie and Baylie Jo! Your generosity and giving hearts are exactly what make our Ft Dodge family so special. We are so lucky to have you both!

We're thrilled to introduce Maggie Conrad, who will be teaching 3rd grade at Cooper Elementary this year!

What inspired her to become a teacher?
"I love working with children and helping them grow, both inside and outside the classroom."

Fun fact about Maggie:
Her goal is to visit all 63 U.S. national parks — and she's already checked 17 off the list! 🏞️

Hey Cooper families! Need something to do this weekend? You’ve been specially invited to stop on by the Otho Fire Department on Saturday, July 11th at 1pm for a little open house put on by one of Cooper’s very own former students, Brandt Lawler, now turned EMT (before he’s even graduated highschool! 👏🏻 🧠)

Bring the kids, water & a snack while enjoying some fun demonstrations and tours of the firehouse & emergency vehicles! Stay as long or as little as you’d like! Hope to see you there! 🚒 🔥 ⛑️ 🚑

🎓 What inspired you to become a teacher?
Ever since high school I’ve wanted to make a lasting impact on students the way my previous teachers have for me. I am excited to help grow and help shape students for their own authentic learning and experiences! I am grateful I am welcomed back home where it all started!

🎉 What is one fun fact or hobby you'd like to share?
Something I like to do is attend concerts and travel! Something I can’t live without is coffee!
