🎭✨ Week One of rehearsals is officially underway, and the magic of Matilda Jr. is already taking shape! ✨🎭

Last night, the Wormwoods, Michael, Miss Trunchbull, Matilda, Mrs. Phelps, the Escapologist, and the Acrobat were hard at work bringing this beloved story to life under the direction of the talented Alyssa Sparks. 📚🍎🎪

From big personalities to larger-than-life characters, there is already plenty of laughter, energy, and creativity filling the room! 💥🎶

A huge THANK YOU to Iowa Central Community College for once again allowing us to utilize the beautiful Decker Auditorium this summer. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support of Stage Door Productions and the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association. ❤️

First and foremost, THANK YOU to the more than 120 incredible students, ages 6–17, who auditioned for this production. The amount of talent represented from all of our surrounding communities was truly amazing, and you made our directing team work incredibly hard to make the very best casting decisions possible this year. We were blown away by your courage, preparation, personalities, and performances. ❤️

Please remember as you view the cast lists:
⭐ EVERY performer is part of BOTH casts!
⭐ If you are listed in one cast with a featured role, you will ALSO appear in the other cast in another role or ensemble.
⭐ Be sure to carefully look through BOTH cast lists so you don’t miss your name!

We are so excited to begin this journey and can’t wait to see this talented group bring the world of Matilda Jr to life on stage!

🎭✨ WOWWWWW! 121 students showed up for our Matilda Jr. auditions this week and we are absolutely blown away by the talent, energy, courage, and creativity we witnessed! 💛📚🎶

To every student who auditioned: THANK YOU for sharing your time, personality, and talent with us. You made us laugh, smile, cheer, and occasionally say, “How are we ever going to choose?!” 😅👏

With this much talent in one room, you definitely did NOT make the casting process easy! 🎭💫
