Fort Dodge Senior High IJAG

Today we had the opportunity to attend Build My Future Des Moines, and it was such an amazing experience. We got hands-on exposure to different careers in the trades and learned so much about opportunities that we don’t always get to see in a classroom.

It was really interesting being able to try new things, talk to professionals, and get a better understanding of what these careers are actually like. This event showed us how many different paths there are for our future and how important these skills are in the real world.

I’m really grateful we got to be a part of IJAG and thankful to everyone who helped make it happen!

Community service through iJAG at High School has been a really meaningful experience for us. It’s not just about volunteering hours—it’s about giving back to our community and making a real difference. Whether it’s helping at events, supporting local organizations, or working together as a team, every opportunity has helped me grow as a person.

Through iJAG, I’ve learned responsibility, leadership, and the importance of helping others. It feels good knowing that even small actions can have a big impact. Being involved in community service has also helped me connect more with my school and the people around me.

iJAG isn’t just a program—it’s a chance to build skills, create change, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
