Club Day Sign Ups:

On Friday, information was shared with all students about signing up for clubs. Your student should have received a paper flyer with club and activity details.

All monies and form submissions are due Tuesday, September 8.

All FFA officers and anyone interested in competing this year on FFA teams need to make FFA as one of their selections! Our dues are still $20 and will get you a tshirt. Our club will meet during the 1st block club time - 1:00-1:45 pm on club days!

This form and monies are due Tuesday, September 8 ALL students must sign up for a 1st and 2nd block Club or Activity.

More information will be shared with students and families on Friday about how to sign up for clubs this year! Our process will look different and club days will be ran slightly different than the past. Dues will still be $20 which helps us cover food, materials, and registration costs throughout the year. Money can be turned into an Ag Teacher by Sept. 4th with student names written on an envelope!

Next week, Mr. Stogdale and Mrs. Hoffman will begin fall FFA contest practices after school. These are open to any 6th-8th grader who plans to join the FFA this year and is interested in competing in a contest. If sports or other activities interfere with practices but students still want to participate, please communicate with one of the ag teachers! The first competitions include the VA State Fair and practices will be weekly as follows:

Monday - Dairy Judging with Mrs. Hoffman 3-5 pm and Ag Mechanics with Mr. Stogdale 3-5 pm
National Convention parent informational meeting 6 pm (only to those students who qualified)

Tuesday - Horse Judging with Mrs. Hoffman 3-5 pm

Wednesday - Forestry with Mr. Stogdale 3-5 pm

Thursday - Stockmans (Livestock) with Mr. Stogdale 3-5 pm

On Tuesday our 8th grade officers attending our Club Leadership training along with our other main club officers at Stewart! It was a great day of workshops, teamwork, and planning! We especially appreciate former state officers: Franco Abud and Danika Landreth for coming back to volunteer to lead us in some awesome team building! Franco is this year’s National FFA Officer Candidate and we wish him luck this fall as he prepares!
We are excited to kick off a great school year! Next week is Back to School night on Monday with school starting Wednesday!
