Whether you are a new parent, a parent of teens or adults, you have been chosen. As an act of free will, your children chose you to be their parent. They did not come with a manual, which can cause some confusion for parents as they try to apply how they were parented only to discover that each child requires something different. How many of us turn to experts to tell us how to raise our children?

Who is the sunshine in your life? Have you told them?

Do your hopes and dreams align with your child's? If they don't, take time to listen to your child and recognize that their life belongs to them. They are not here to fulfill the dreams you wanted for yourself. They may need to experience struggle and challenges, but those don't need to come from you. Be the support and cheerleader for your child in what they hope and dream for. And if they have difficulty finding those hopes, let them know that you believe in them to discover in their own time.

CONGRATULATIONS! to all those who celebrated graduations this month. For parents- congratulations on supporting your child through the journey, and to the students may you find the adventure of life to be a source of joy. The world needs you to follow your heart and do what matters most to you and what brings you the fun in living. May your life experiences and choices bring awareness that will guide you to the phenomenal life you seek. Celebrate!
