We're welcoming a new group of students to the Powerhouse!
Before diving into hands-on learning, they attend our Safety Orientation Presentation to learn the protocols that help keep our community safe. From emergency exit locations to shop and lab safety procedures, students gain the knowledge they need to work confidently and responsibly in the building.
Innovation starts with a commitment to safety—and that's where every Powerhouse journey begins.

Dr. Todd Bandhauer's work was recently featured in a State magazine article!
As co-founder of AtmosZero, Bandhauer developed the company's Boiler 2.0 technology. This breakthrough will help decarbonize the steam and boiling processes used in brewing and other industrial applications.
What makes this story especially exciting is that the technology was developed right out of the Powerhouse. It's exactly the kind of innovation the Energy Institute was designed to support: taking research from science to solutions to scale. By helping innovators test, refine, and commercialize new technologies, the Energy Institute is accelerating the transition to a cleaner energy future.

Over this past week, the Mobile Classroom travelled to Eagle County!
Across 4 days and 4 schools, the outreach team interacted with about 500 kids.
They worked to develop Beakman motors, which shows electromagnetism.
Thank you for having us!
