Hola mi gente, me llego esto, de ISSS. Alguno de ustedes estaria interesado o conoce alguien que pueda estarlo?, avisenme porfa:

Dear Martin Asmat,... I was wondering if you might be able to help the International Student & Scholar Services office.
As part of our services to international students at CSU, we provide intercultural training every year for our student-based Cultural Mentor team. This year, we are trying to go more in-depth into the cultural part of the training, so we are focusing on our 4 biggest cultures represented at CSU: Saudi Arabia, India, China, and Brazil (or Mexico or Colombia).

The idea for training is that it will be almost 100% interactive, with lots of discussion and lots of activities—and very little power-point presentations. That’s where your club might be able to help us: we are currently looking for a Latin American student or scholar (preferably Brazilian, Mexican, or Colombian) to be one of our “cultural representatives” during the discussions. Most of the cultural mentors are from the U.S., and it will help them to understand your culture better if a Latin American person is able to contribute their perspective to the conversations. A woman named Judy Wallace will be helping me facilitate the discussion, and we’ll be asking everyone questions about their culture with regards to topics like time, communication, making friends, etc.

Would you be able to guide us to a Latin American student who might want to be a Cultural Representative for our Cultural Mentor Training? The training is on Saturday & Sunday, August 9th & 10th, from 9am to 4pm in the Laurel Hall Commons Room. We will provide a light breakfast and full lunch both days.

We would also like to meet with the cultural representative the week before the training. That meeting is from 10am to 3pm on Monday, August 4th, but we can be flexible if with that.

Thank you for your help, and please feel free to forward this to your club members, or attend yourself if you are interested! The training will be quite fun with all the activities and cultural food, but also will hopefully be very insightful in interesting.
