Our Story

Welcome to the Mountain Riders Horse Club!! We are a social and recreational group on the Colorado State University campus. Members are from a broad range of academic backgrounds and different majors; ranging from Music Majors to Equine Science Majors.

Goals:
This year we would like to increase our involvement in the CSU and Fort Collins community. As well as increase the amount of our events including clinics, pack trips, BBQ's and trail rides.

What We Do:
In the Mountain Riders Horse Club, we participate in a broad range of activities. Throughout the course of the year we go on trail rides, which include our end of the semester rides in which we make arrangements for all members that do not have access to a horse to participate. Along with trail rides we participate in the homecoming parade, pack and camping trips, Ramride, and a variety of other community events.

History:
The Mountain Riders Horse Club was founded in 2002 by the CSU Packing and Outfitting class. With a focus on trail riding and bringing people from all disciplines and experience levels together, that have an interest in using horses recreationally and making a positive impact on the Colorado State University campus, and Fort Collins community.

Meetings and Dues:
We meet every Wednesday at 6:00pm in the Legends of Ranching barn at the Equine Center. Dues are collected at the beginning of each semester.
