At the end of each school year, we like to send our 5th graders off to middle school with a celebratory parade through their elementary years. Our 5th graders make their way around the building, starting outside preschool and wrapping their way around to Kindergarten, 1st grade, and on, to the cheers and congratulations of each grade level they pass. Finally, they pass through a tunnel created by our 4th graders and staff members, and they exit as middle schoolers, ready for their next academic adventure!! ❤️ We know they are ready and cannot wait for their future visits and to learn all they accomplish in the years to come. Keep on ROARing, Laurel Lynx!

We have had quite the Spring, with a marching band to celebrate our teachers and all they do for our students, a visiting guest (and former student!) who taught us all about math and food trucks, field trips to nature centers and museums, Story Bakers, Field Day, and so much more! We are excited for summer, but we have had a lot of fun learning this year!! (And did we ever! Our 5th graders were recognized for academic growth by Kiwanis with a pizza party! Thank you, Kiwanis!)

What a fun surprise for our returning high school graduates and our retiring Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Arnold, along with her current Kindergarten students! Who doesn’t love a few parachute games?? Current and former Laurel Lynx kindergarteners joined together for a fun and welcoming return as well as send off. ❤️
