How about some Colorado Jewish trivia? Did you know that, at 10150 ft above sea level, Temple Israel of Leadville, CO is the highest synagogue building in North America? It is no longer active, but has been lovingly restored by the Temple Israel Foundation. The Temple Israel Museum is open daily year round, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is located at: 201 West 4th Street, Leadville, Colorado 80461 (Fourth and Pine).

Temple Israel is a historical building and museum in Leadville, Colorado. Built in 1884 and restored in 2008, it is the highest elevation synagogue building in the United States. The Hebrew Cemetery was established in 1880 and restored in the 1990s and is also part of the Temple Israel Foundation.

I'm happy to say the Library has received approval to offer books for sale and checkout in the foyer. This month's display will feature books about the Holocaust and Israel for all ages.
Please sanitize your hands prior to handling books, and leave the checkout card (with your full name) in the plastic box provided on the top shelf. Enjoy!

Free to good home (though donations gladly accepted): LOTS of Haggadahs, so if you need any, please come and take them. They are on the "books for sale" shelf in the CHS foyer. Everything from Maxwell House, Union Haggadahs, and "We Tell it to Our Children" to "The Journey Continues" and the CCAR New Union Haggadah.
